On March 20th, while in the care of Tim and Michelle Burge, the guitar had the opportunity
to be at the Highway 99 Blues Club in Seattle. Tim & Michelle brought it down to the club
in the hopes of acquiring the autograph of the legendary superwoman Candye Kane, her drummer
(and son) Evan Caleb and the amazing gunslinger, Laura Chavez. However, autographs were not
the only thing that the guitar received that night ... it had the opportunity to make history! The event, as relayed to [Mike Brooks] by Michelle Burge: “Long story short ... Laura broke a string on her guitar during the finale. When the crowd called for an encore, Candye asked Ed if Laura could use the guitar they were signing. Of course! This is the guitar that the South Sound Blues Association is getting signed by all the artists that come through the NW for the 2011 IBC Fundraiser Raffle.” |
